# Getting Started

### Welcome to the Monolith documentation site.

These docs are here to help you get comfortable using Monolith and understand how the platform supports your forensic workflows from intake through reporting. Monolith connects case management, evidence tracking, chain of custody, storage, acquisitions, lab resources, reporting, and administrative settings in one system.

You can use this documentation as both a getting started guide and a reference library. Start with the basics if you are new to Monolith, or jump directly into the section that matches the part of the application you are working in.

As you move through the docs, you will find guidance for setting up your environment, managing cases and evidence, configuring your organization, generating reports, and using Monolith’s API and integrations.
